disability pension

You may be granted a disability pension if you have lost your ability to work due to an illness, a  handicap or an injury.

Your disability pension consists of the pension that you have accrued during your working life  and the projected pension component. The projected pension component compensates the pension that you have not accrued based on your wages because you have had to retire on a disability pension before reaching your retirement age.

When you apply for a disability pension from abroad, note that different countries award or reject disability pension applications based on their own national legislation.
